Mechanical Planets
The concept of these 3D compositions are the same as in my paintings from the Circle Intersections series. The circles are painted on spheres that are the same shapes, but just in different dimensions. They are paintings on a 3D surface. These compositions are about spheres coming out from spheres. The negative spheres (holes) open the positive spheres to discover the hidden layer inside and free the way for new spheres to come out and grow. I imagine a mechanical machine built out of spheres growing as a vivid organism, though restricted within a geometric body. “What would it look like if a planet gave birth to another planet?”
