Graffiti without Spraycan
Leaving your mark on walls is addictive and it is frustrating to do something that’s forbidden and stressful since you could be caught any time you take out a spray can – everyone in the whole town knows spraying anything is illegal and the police will be called. But what if you don’t use spray cans for graffiti? A friend of mine, Zast from Berlin, got this genius idea of using polystyrene for cutting out letters and gluing them onto a facade – a cheap technique used for building insulation. This allowed me to place pieces around the streets during the day and I also used wood to create more complex ones. Now, instead of spending time painting on a wall, I pre-prepared the pieces, then rented a van and bolted my work around town.
